About the Blog

The CCV Blog is a peer-reviewed blog which focuses on both critical leadership and practical development representing victimological perspectives from a broad range of disciplines and the behavioural aspect of the crime committed and contribute to a greater understanding of victims, victimization, victim-offender relations, institutional functioning, and allied issues. The blog will focus on promoting research and action in the selected areas of victim justice, criminology, and victimology.

Themes

Although there are no rigid thematic constraints, the Centre expects to have submissions on topics relevant to the work and objectives of the Centre. Following are some of the themes for which the CCV Blog is accepting submissions:

1. The idea of Justice: Imbalances and Inconsistencies
2. Revisiting Criminal Procedure: Victim’s Perspective
3. Victims of abuse of power: Harsh Laws and Soft Justice
4. Victim Jurisprudence & the Supreme Court of India
5. Victim Advocacy: Victim Advocates and Community Mobilisation

 

Any manuscript shall be taken for consideration if that pertains to the dimensions of transformative criminal justice system and developing scope of Criminology.

Submission Guidelines

● Articles shall include the legal acumen of the author(s) and should be solution-based.


● Only those articles will be accepted which are not yet covered in any domain. The Editorial Board may summarily reject any topic that has already been covered in the blog.

 

● The article should be the original work of the author and co-authorship of a maximum of 3 is permitted.

​

● All submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing 1.5, justified.

​

● All relevant sources must be hyperlinked. In case no hyperlink is available for a reference, the use of endnotes is recommended. For endnotes, any standard and uniform citation style shall be followed.

​

● The word limit for each post is 800-1300 words (exclusive of endnotes). However, the flexibility of the upper limit is at the discretion of the editor.

​

● The manuscript should be accompanied by a cover letter specifying the author’s name, designation, institute, contact number, and email for future reference. [Participants are requested to not put their names anywhere in the main manuscript].

​

● The author(s) bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions, or views stated in the submitted Manuscript. In the case of gross plagiarism found in the contents of the submitted manuscript, the manuscript shall be subject to summary rejection. The permissible limit shall be not more than 20% in any case.

​

● Submissions for the blog shall be reviewed on a rolling basis and the receipt of submissions shall be conveyed at the earliest. The Editorial Board may take up to 02 weeks for the review of submissions.

Submission Process

Submissions are being accepted on a rolling basis.

 

All entries should be submitted in .doc or .docx format and the manuscripts must be emailed to blog.ccvrgnul@gmail.com and the subject of the email should be titled “Submission for CCV Blog – NAME OF THE PERSON”.

 

As per our policy, we do not send any acknowledgement mail to the author due to the high number of submissions coming every day; however, we make sure that we get back to the authors within two week from their date of submission.

Eligibility

Law students pursuing the three-year LLB, as well as the five years integrated LLB program, students pursuing LLM or PhD, Research Associates, Academicians, Educators, practitioners,
and professionals interested or involved in the area are eligible to submit.

● Best blogs shall be posted on social mdia channels of CCV along with author’s details.
